Breed;; alaskan tundra wolf
Appearance;; Tulari is a blackish, brown wolf. She has a lean body and a fluffy tail that has a nasty habit of sticking straight out when it should be tucked. She has dark fur and the brown 'patches' (which may or may not leave as she gets older) that litter her shoulders, forehead, haunches, tail and back legs. She also has a white mark on her chest that looks like a "T". Tulari is somewhere in between a stocky and lean body type with yellow eyes that almost glow when she turns her full attention on.
Usually Tulari is a calm individual, lounging about, watching over everything, she has a particular habit about cleaning her coat to keep up it's shiny appearance (however, she's always the first to want to get dirty again). Tulari's face is very expressive, when she grins, she grins and when she snarls, she snarls. Tulari has a quiet sort of power around her that makes others aware where she is -- and is part of why she is a successful alphess.
She walks with a grace like a deer, a sort of rolling, effortless motion, and is very quiet as she walks. Tulari rarely makes a sound, at all. She has a quiet voice and her howl is low-pitched, however she has a powerful growl. Tu has the look of an alphess to her, with elegant ears and proud head carriage.

Wear your heart on your sleeve...
Personality;; Tulari has all the appearances of a laid-back alpha, but on the inside she is always thinking of something new for the pack. A different way a hunt could be done, or a better way to stay warm at night during the freezing months. She is quietly spoken, but what she has to say always carries some form of weight. Tu is witty, and good with puppies -- she loves spending time with them. But the thing that Tulari absolutely loves about everything else is running. It doesn't matter where, or why -- she just adores it. When she's isn't laying around, thinking of some new way to use what the Gods gave her, she is tasting the wind in her mouth and feeling it through her fur - a sensation so close to flying that it is like euphoria for her.
This wolf is clever, and when it comes to some warring with their neighbors, she almost always thinks of some way to surprise them (since, well, her pack is not know for their fighting skills). She relies on using the terrain and the weather to plot how to fight. She keeps her cool during a fight, but when out hunting (for herself mind, not when the pack NEEDS a kill), she can lean more towards the "OMG,OMG,OMG. A FISH. *pounce*" side.
And the only way to really provoke a terrified reaction in Tulari is to push her into a freezing cold flowing river. At this point in time, it is both clever and absolutely necessary to escape as fast as one can to avoid loosing all the fur on one's tail and receiving a potentially terrible scar on one's shoulder. Tu does not find this funny in the least.
Traits;;
+ quiet & calm
- non-aggressive (unless forced)
+ sweet
- not much experience
+ witty
- not terribly brave
+ quick to take the lead
- vain & prideful
- hesitates to ask advice on simple things
Strengths;; Hunting, Organizing, Strategy, Speed & Reflexes
Weaknesses;; Howling, Fighting, Sight tracking, Clumsy, Over-excitable
Fears;; a fast running river of freezing water
History;; Tulari grew up as her pack's alpha cubs, spoiled, and never truly hungry. When she was just weaned, a famine hit her land and half the pups from the liter perished. Tulari and her brother Kilt survived, they grew older and more confident -- and living next to a river will warrant fishing. And Tulari loves nothing like she loves fish.
The incident that scarred her to this day happened near the end of winter on a slowly thawing river (which was flowing fast in the middle where it had thawed already), at the end of her 3 year old year. She was standing on a piece of ice trying to catch some fish when her brother walked up and scared her as she hadn't heard him coming -- she lost her precarious purchase on the ice and slipped into the river an was sucked under. She was partly terrified because it is a wolf's greatest fear to die in the water, and secondly because it was so cold and the river wasn't completely unthawed. She scratched her way at the surface as she was pulled along, loosing air as it was crushed from her body -- at last she broke to her surface and her family pack grabbed her scruff and attempted to haul her to the shore (while trying not to fall in themselves), as the river's vicious current pulled at her water soaked body. Lucky, the river let her god, but Tulari has always maintained a fear of a river in winter -- no matter how thick the ice looks.
In due time, she left her Pack of her own volition and headed out -- and she joined a pack of wolves. With her intelligence and skills, Tulari eventually worked her way into becoming the next heir to the wolf pack (as the wolves had born no children), and finally became their alphess when the leaders passed on during a cold winter.

Waking up was always the hardest part of the day for Ev. He actually hated waking up from his dreams of walking and running with his own two legs, only to wake and find that his knees were tight with pain and burned if he attempted to walk with them on his own. He sighed dejectedly and looked over at the one thing that made his everyday life worth living, Excare lifted his brutish and rather ugly head up and turned towards where he heard the boy rustling about on the bed next top him. The dragon was just as large as the bed – and if Ev’s parents didn’t insist upon it, he would be sleeping on his best friend instead of in his bed.
Rolling himself over, he stroked down the middle of the Skullion’s back, letting the sightless dragon know that he was about to roll over onto him and mount up. Appropriately, the dragon rolled, exposing the bit of neck that he had that wasn’t covered in large spikes that threatened to put holes in anything that attempted to ride on his back. Carefully, Evelar swung his leg over the scaly back and settled his leg into the strap to hold it securely. After fixing the same for both legs, he looked at his handiwork. Both his legs were double wrapped in sheepskin to keep them warm out in the town. He patted Excare’s right side delicately with his foot and the dragon rolled to his feet smoothly.
Without thinking much about it, Ev asked the dragon to head to the kitchen (which was easy to find as there was the smell of sheep cooking on the stove. They headed out (Ev ducking to make sure he didn’t do something stupid like brain himself on the doorjams), and came out into the kitchen. Luckily, Excare was so used to the routine that he sat down next to the table and reached his lion-like head down and feasted on the warmed (but not cooked) sheep meat. Ev looked at his parents and felt a swell of joy in his chest. They were such tolerant Vikings, loving and wanting to look after their son the best they could despite his… deformities. “Mornin’ Mother.” He said cheerfully, and smiled at the welcome in return and the food placed down before him. This would have seemed odd for any other Viking home, usually they all ate in the Mead hall, however Evelar was sensitive about the piteous looks the other Vikings sent him as he rode in on Excare and struggled to sit down on the benches, so he had asked his mother how hard it would be to prepare his breakfast at home so he wouldn’t have to see those looks (piteous or not)
After finishing up their meal, they headed outside were all the other children of Berk were awakening and tending to their dragons. Ev eased Excare as the dragon started to bristle at the scent of all the other dragons there, his white nails punctured the ground before Ev patted him on the neck, putting the dragon at as much ease as could be had. He whispered to the Skullion about how great he was compared to those “winged bats” and that did more to soothe the dragon’s ego than anything else. None the less, they headed out into the village, greeting people as they strolled by. Some tossed out a greeting and others backed away from the vicious appearance of Excare. The dragon did seen them, but was used to the scent of their fear. All he cared about was the boy riding upon his back.
He rumbled a sort of purr sound that indicated how happy he was, Ev smiled and stroked the Skullion in the spaces where the dragon’s claws could not reach – and scratched roughly. Excare rumbled even louder at this and then yawned widely. His teeth were razor sharp, and though he’d never actually had proper reason to use them (unless he was hunting), the dragon still kept them in perfect condition – just in case. He was heading towards Hilde’s house without really thinking about it until he caught sight of Ulfr and then Hilde when she turned with a smile on her face. He blushed a bright crimson and sat back, telling Excare to slow down. Of course, only after that did he realize that the dragon HAD already stopped, and that was due to smelling Ulfr. If there was something Excare HATED it was that marsh dragon. Keeping himself as civil as possible, Excare hissed quietly before looking in another direction – and catching scent of Toothless. The Skullion’s claws pinned into the ground and it distracted Ev enough to know that if he didn’t get Excare away from these winged dragons soon – there was going to be a rather nasty brawl.
“Um, later. I-I mean, goodbye.” He said hesitantly, before turning on the dragon and loping off. He turned back a few meters from them and then sighed, he rubbed his legs ruefully before asking Excare to walk on into the forest, he had his drawing book in hand and there was a rock formation that he wanted to sketch somewhere near Raven’s Point.
Trivia;; Tulari will do just about anything for fish -- she absolutely loves them.
