High to the right of Bjorn's Pass, a white silhouette sat printed against the sky. Skreleen watched the stars, transfixed with their summer positions. Behind her gaped the mouth of her summer den. From this point, she could watch the sky and the earth comfortably, singing to the land below her.
As far as dens went for her, perfect ones were hard to find. They needed to be hazardous, hard to reach and located on the face of treacherous cliffs. This one, situated beneath an overhanging boulder, was the definition of perfect. The cave led to a small spring and allowed a light wind to whisper through, bringing with it the smell of any intruders. Persephone could climb to the top of the overhanging boulder and watch her lover - the sky - to her heart's content. There was never the need to watch her back, for the only creature who could descend upon her were the stupid rodents who lived within the crevices of the cliff.
On this night, she had found no bad news in the stars or the stage of the moon. The sky remained clear, free of cloud or the signs of a storm. There was nothing concrete to tell her clan, but she still felt like singing about what she had read and what she could see and smell around her.
Her eyelids fluttered shut as she tipped back her head. The sound of her howl held the bell-like ting that she had heard in the voices of Boreal owls, the notes remained high and sharp with an oddly hypnotizing flow. She sang of a new nest of sparrows, the proud parents hunting for crickets; an avalanche about to happen high in the peaks of the mountains; the whisper of a leaf falling from its bough. An underlying current ran in her howl, a spark of something lost. It was indistinguishable, even to her. Was she missing something in her predictions? Had she forgotten something - or someone - important? Surely not, she was thorough in her gifts.
Perhaps I will receive a sign soon. The Gods have been awful quiet lately. She thought curiously, her body still shaking with the song she sang. We shall wait and see. What comes of this feeling will come.
Ooc; This is my first in character post here. I realize that I have a habit of making my writing annoyingly poetic - it's not limited to my roleplaying! The style will dim as the roleplay goes on, because my muse will begin to quiet. I promise.
Please tell me if there are any mistakes in it. Thank you muchly. <3

Alue was padding along the rocky hills when she spotted the fae trying to look for a den. She half smirked as she made her way down a rocky slope. Taking long graceful strides leaping off every rock till she reached the fae. Her tail swayed calmly behind her. Then she hauled a ways up so the fae could see her, but not too clearly.
All the fae could see was the build of a brute, but then her face turned towards the fae, so it was then easily detected that Alue was surly a fae. Her battle scars were not noticeable on her body, but what was seen in Alue was her pelt color, which was grey with fresh blood on her maw. and her golden green eyes. It looked kind of creepy from a top view. Alue waited to the fae's reaction towards that.
She licked her chops getting some of the blood off of her muzzle. Her auds were pricked at the moment and her teeth were still hidden from her lips. She studied the fae from the tip of her auds to the end point of her talons. Curiosity struck her emotionless features. Her tail still swaying calmly behind her.
Alue then decided to leap down more rocks to be face to face with the fae. Alue's pads were soundless when they hit the rocks. Then her black long sharp talons clicked against a rock that she stood on only a foot away from the fae. A smirk crept across Alue's maw. She dipped her head in a gesture of greeting. " Salutation, fae." Alue's lyrics were soft, but at the same time rough as it rolled off her tongue

Ooc; Hey, I just wanted to let you know that there are some flaws in your post. Skreleen is howling (singing to the stars) from a boulder set above her summer den. It is near impossible to reach her from above (unless you're a chipmunk or something) and requires a messy and dangerous descent. Skreleen would have definitely seen and heard Alue approaching.
Other than that, everything's sweet.
I shall reply to your post as if it was written to fit my original post. Still baying to the stars, Skreleen became aware to an unfamiliar presence. The light wind that blew through the Pass brought with it the scent of a female, a small amount of blood clinging to her. It was an inviting smell, but also frustrating. She was in the middle of a song. It was common knowledge not to intrude when a story teller was singing. Common knowledge that it was impolite.
The voice of the stranger called a greeting, halting the song.
Skreleen dropped her head and swung it to face the female. If she had been in a bad mood, she would snap at this female, so much larger than her. Luckily, the absence of bad news in the sky had brought a wave of serenity and she felt like being social. Her one golden eye burned with curiosity, the other dim and cloudy. What was this wolf here for? Was she the underlying current in Skreleen's howls?
This wolf had never happened across one of her dens before. They had never crossed paths hunting or wandering, but she must be part of the Eyrie pack to be on their land. That meant that, in some way or another, they were related. Perhaps not of blood, but by spirit and mind.
"Welcome to my den," she said simply, her voice almost emotionless. "How can I help you? In need of a story?"
She moved to sit down a step further away from her (now) visitor. She was higher up the boulder with a perfect visibility range. This truly was the perfect den - she had no doubts about that!

ooc- OMG! So sorry!!! :\ I guess i didn't quite read it right. Alue studied the fae, she wasn't really listening so she wasn't paying any attention to the wolf's song, it made her feel guilty to make her stop, though these emotions filled her head, an emotionless blank was all that was detected in her eyes, body language, and facial appearance. Alue shook her head and said. "My aplogeeze. I wasn't paying attention." She shook her dome at herself then focused back on the fae.
Alue studied the fae for a little before speaking again, making sure everything was well. She was used to wolves that just turn and lunge at her, and now that Alue was close enough to the fae, the fae could see her battle scars. She had sevral long scars along her muzzle and along her belly, she had teeth gashes in her neck and back which were now scabed over. If you looked at the tip of her tail...Well, there was no tip. Alue remembers the fight perfectly.
Yes Alue was now in this pack, and was hoping to become alpha, she knew she could control a pack. She was used to it. She had a pack of her own once....But that was a long time ago. She would never want to refresh that memory. She had come to these lands to start fresh. To get to know other wolves who didn't know her. She needed to start over. Her life was and still is at the moment a living h3ll. She usually didn't like to think that way, but she bad things were attracted to her.
When the fae started to talk again she lifted her dome and kept eye contact. Golden green eyes searching through the other fae's eyes. Her eyes were still emotionless as she put bad memories in the back of her head. "Very nice." She added when the fae said it was her den, then she asked her two questions. Alue thought both of the carefully before answering. "No need of help, just wondering." Answering one question. "If you want to tell one, then I will listen." Her lyrics were softer this time, though instead of rough it was wary.

Ooc; It's okay. I just wanted to keep the story on track. So this stranger wanted to hear a story or, well, was willing to listen if there was one to be told. Skreleen had plenty available, such as the bickering squirrels (one of her personal favourites) or the story to the spring within her summer den. This wolf had said she was wondering, though, and wondered things could be much more interesting than some squirrel fight or the bubbling pool inside.
"What is it you wonder?" She asked formally, sitting tall on her makeshift pedestal. "What is your name?"
A sparrow flew by overhead, causing Skreleen to look up. Her good eye zoomed in on the small form, picking up the smallest signals and traits in its appearance. It was one of her friends, Dante', hunting for crickets along the face of the cliff. He chattered a small greeting, realizing his scruffy friend was looking. Was this female familiar with winged creatures? Skreleen hoped desperately that this wolf was not violent. She did not seem it.

Alue studied the fae as she was quite at first. She didn't know how to react at first, mean and stern, or polite and patient. She shook her dome silently to herself. Her auds still flickerd different directions as different sounds echoed through her ears. A faint smirk tuged at her maw as she heard the flapping of birds and the chirping, the movment of the wind in the trees and everything else.
Then the faes question cought her off gaurd. Golden green eyes bored into the faes. "That is actually a dificult question." Alue spoke softly. What was she wandering? She knew she was wondering around the pack land, she had been accepted too. Though, she didn't know why. So she added. "I really don't know why I am wondering aimisly around for..." She thought for a few moments. Was it because she wanted to meat different wolves? or because she kept on moving before her past cought up to her. She didn't know, but she would like to find out. Then the second question cought her attention back on the fae. "I'm Alue A'meastra. I prefer Alue though." She said with a faint smile but then curiousity soon cought her attention. She looked back at the fae and asked. "And what is your calling?" She asked with her dome tilted faintly to the side..
When the sparrow flew up ahead Alue also looked up. It looked very free and beautiful, yes Alue was familiar with the winged creatures. Her sister had her watch the birds and listen to the earth and all the sounds it made. So it made Alue more open minded and it helped calm, her down, when they bird chirped his greeting Alue dipped her head, revealing her own greeting.
Alue wasn't the violent type, though she could easily be one. If someon chalenged her she would take the chalenge seriously. If a fae or brute decided to snap at her or call her babe or pup. She wouldn't mind handling it in a violent way, but if she has no reason to be violent she won't be.

Skreleen nodded slowly at Alue. She understood the confusion this wolf felt. Everyone experienced the deep sting sooner or later. There was no need for Alue to explain. The void of confusion (and loneliness) was something Skreleen had embraced. It was often irritating, nonetheless.
Alue is a very beautiful name, Skreleen thought to herself, turning her head to look up at the pale moon. The move was almost dramatic in its smoothness. I wish my name had been something so short, simple and sweet. Persephone. Blegh. What sort of name is Persephone?
"You may call me Skreleen..." She said, emphasizing her name. She pronounced it skray - leen with a hiccupy halt at the end. "It is what most know me by. Well, those few that know me at all."
She lowered her white face, turning her gaze back to the wolf before her. Alue did not seem threatening or dangerous (except for the pink of blood on her muzzle), but there was always a reason to be cautious. A solitary life was all Skreleen ever wanted for herself and now this female knew where her den was. There was the greatest chance of attack now, but danger was always a possibility anyway. Sure, the sky had not spoken of imminent doom, but could Skreleen really trust everyone who happened across her?

Alue smirked still with no emotion as the fae though. She doesn't like to expain her past and how sad she is and how much in pain and how much her life is worth nothing since everything gets ruined in the end. Though she had heard from an old wise brute named Owl, that if she let her feeling inside and not tell a few close friends or a complete stranger, then she would be more depressed about it than if she had talked to someon about it.
Though when he told her that she had scoffed and laughed at him, walking away with humor in her eyes. She clenched them shut remembering the rudness that was. She then understood what he meant...She never told a soul about her life...She was the only one who knew...Other than the wolves that were in it, though they were only there for their part of her past.
Then the fae's voice made Alue's golden green orbs focus back on the fae. "Pleasure to meet you, Skreleen" She said in her normal soft tone. "Pretty name, i must add." Then a warm smile crept across her maw, but vanished as quickly as it came. "Then I am lucky to be one that does know you." Her auds pricked towards the fae before they started the normal twiching again.
Alue could tell that Skreleen was coutious of her. It would be a great idea to be. Alue knew she would never attack a wolf without reason. Though Alue was not the type to think of the glass half ful since her mother and father died. When she got over that...well, everything that should have turned out better..Turned for the worse, and it never seemed to ease.

Skreleen muttered something unintelligible and settled on the rock, tucking her paws underneath her white breast. The rock had started to get uncomfortable - it was slightly damp, making her fur sticky.
"Usually others stick to the path, so they don't get to meet me," she said, feeling the need to continue the conversation. For some stranger reason, she still didn't feel like being her rude self. Perhaps it was the clarity of the sky, as she had thought countless times before. "You're lucky I was in the middle of a song... You could be missing an ear right now."
She meant it to be light and friendly, but the remark still sounded threatening. She simply meant that she disliked visitors. When she felt like being alone, nothing got in her way. The only person who had ever chased after her had been found a week later, battered and barely breathing. It was the slight shadow that passed over Skreleen's face that drove the sadistic remark home. Innocence was only a look. Her brutality came from wit, knowledge of her surroundings and the quickness she had with her blows. Alue could be bigger and stronger, but she would never be able to leap onto a branch three meters in the air! That was one of Skreleen's specialties.
She murmured again and blinked. The sparrow that had flew overhead previously passed over again, clicking out a scolding. Skreleen ignored him.

Alue seemed to smirk when the fae told her story then her auds flattend tightly to her skull as she finished her sentence. A low warning snarl came from the her maw. She shook it off though. "I guess that could have occured, but don't underestimate me from my size and muscle. I can move fast than you think." She eyed the fae carefully, still no emotion came through her eyes. This was what she was used to. Fae's saying that, usually Alue would have ripped off one of their ears to prove them wrong, but decided not too.
She kept her smile flashbacks became visible in her thoughts once again. though at the moment she didn't want to show weakness, not wanting to give the fae a chance just in case, even if they fae meant it in a nice way, she mentiond it and so Alue had to stay ontop of things, even though she looked relaxed and not careing what the fae had said, Alue did care. She hated threats even though she was so used to them. She snorted to herself remembering the threats she got in one day, she had more enemies than friends. Her friends were her sister, Dark Poison, her muderd family, her one daughter that is alive somewhere hopefully, Torro, and Rayn. Though she left them at the other land.

"Yes," Skreleen murmured, almost wistfully. She seemed completely oblivious to the hostility she had invoked, having become preoccupied with a beetle that scurried across the rock she lay on. "I'm fast as well. I like running and jumping."
Now, completely distracted, Skreleen blanked. She was bored of this stranger, Alue, but she didn't want to start a fight or insult her again. She simply wanted to get back to her singing and stargazing. She could be here for hours if she didn't act soon. There was nothing worse than sitting there, talking about something you didn't give a hoot about.
"Do you have any stories to tell?" Skreleen asked quietly.
She wasn't telling Alue to go away, but instead sparking a conversation she would be interested in. At the same time, she seemed to dampen any rude remark she had made before. Stories could do that, even when they were simply a thought. That was one of the many reasons Skreleen actually enjoyed them and studied them. They were a natural numb-er. Ooc; The last word is the act of becoming more numb, not the word pertaining to digits and things we count by. I just thought I should clarify that more, instead of just using a little ol' hyphen.
