Appearance;; Cil is a big guy, but he’s a bit ungainly. His limbs are long and his paws are overly large, making him look a bit awkward on his feet. Despite that, he is agile, although laziness has had it’s marks on him. He prefers the easy life, although since becoming a beta he has had to give up comfort in lieu of survival.

Personality;; Silmarillion isn’t your average male. One could say he’s much more brains than brawn, although he doesn’t like to show it. He has a penchant for sarcasm, but he’s too lazy to actually have a mean streak – he’s best described as a spider. He loves the fine things – food, rest, comfort, sun, and she-wolves – but he has a low tolerance for those he considers annoying. He regularly comes up with dastardly schemes for power, but will probably never follow through with one. When he does manage to summon up enough motivation to do something, steer clear. Cil’s the type to keep his head down until the moment is right and then strike when the picking is easy. All he really needs is a partner in crime – or rather a hencheman.
Traits;; Scheming, lazy, hedonistic, deceptive, good actor.
Strengths;; Smart, reads situations well, strategic, good acting skills – he seems to most like a loyal, if rather dim, brute.
Weaknesses;; Lazy, poor willpower, lazy lazy lazy.
Fears;; Meeting his match, death.
History;; Cil was born in Eyrie by a pair who joined up for only a short time. They left, taking most of his siblings with them, but Cil chose to stay and climb the ranks slowly. He hungers for power but hasn’t yet yearned for it enough to do anything about it – either he doesn’t want it enough, or he doesn’t have the right tools at hand to make things happen.

He was appointed beta by the most recent alpha, who thought, like the rest of the pack, that Cil is a loyal wolf with few ideas. However, Silmarillion has quite lofty aspirations, and is simply waiting for the time to strike. Beta is a tough job for him to keep his mask – he can no longer blend in to the ranks, and he actually has duties to uphold. However, the trust and power he has in the Eyrie pack now appeal greatly to him.

Wind brushed through Lazarus’s ruff; it was a hot wind. Slate blue eyes were narrowed as the male looked out across a flat expanse of land before him, clad in the gold and browns of dried grass and foliage. Heat haze danced above the hard baked earth, gleaming like old ghosts.

Old ghosts… death and emptiness seemed to follow the tall, lanky male wherever he went. The first time it had struck at him, it had changed his life and torn his pack apart. Now he couldn’t escape the idea that he’d brought it here with him, to Everusi. He knew it was a foolish idea, a mere superstition, and yet… still it hung at the back of his mind.

Before the floods, he’d been adrift within the lands. Only one creature had left a mark on him, and he had lashed out at her because of his own fear. He regretted that now.

For so long he’d been a being wrapped within the past, living alone because of it. Part of him wanted to change that now. Of course, he couldn’t envision himself as a packwolf, but… perhaps he could be of service to them. He knew a thing or two about healing, and he seriously doubted that any of the packs had healers of their own. Maybe… maybe he could do that.

He flicked his large auds, squinting into the bright light. For the first time he found himself hoping to see or scent some sign of wolven life out in the shimmering heat.

I don't want to be a bother, but would you mind if I changed to auditioning for Eyrie alpha? I'd still love to take Beta if I don't get it... hopefully that's not too much trouble ^^;
