Full Name;;Lexington Rukangàt Preferred Name;; Lexington, Lex, Lexxers... Title;; The Canine Tricycle Age;; 3.5 years Gender;;Male
Pack;;Eyrie Rank;;Healer Mate;;None Offspring;; None
Breed;;Grey Wolf Appearance;; Lex is a rather lanky male. His most noticeable feature is his left hind leg (or rather, the lack thereof.) Simply put, it is missing.
Lanky and thin, his paws and ears are somewhat overlarge. He is a tall wolf, with a narrow muzzle - features that might, on a different wolf, allude to the words ‘noble’ or ‘attractive’. On Lex, these features make it difficult to determine his exact age – he might be three of five, of even nine, if one were to try and judge (he is 3.5).
His coat is a uniform pale grey and wholly unremarkable, but for a sprinkling of silver across his back and tail and darker markings splashed upon his face. The fur is, however, slightly long even in the summer, and Lex keeps it fastidiously clean. Pale green eyes shine with a fierce intelligence and dry sense of humor. His posture, despite his best attempts, is still slightly askew, and his overly large ears swivel toward any noise. His bearing is rather strange, one of a world weary wolf, noteworthy for the fact that her is, in reality, only four years old. His face is very carefully set in a calm, competent gaze, though a faint jadedness lies under the surface of his mask, and his eyes are amazingly expressive. He is lean and long in every sense of the words, and quite an atypical wolf.

Personality;; Lex is a relatively young wolf; however, he is quite cynical. His personality is guarded, and he has trouble opening up to others. He would rather respond with snarky comebacks or sarcastic comments than show his true self, and often relies on wit to isolate himself. He does, however, have a more carefree side, a remnant of his short puphood, which slips out from time to time around those he trusts. He knows that in life, one must have allies in order to survive. He picks and chooses his battles, preferring to use his wit to get out of scrapes. This side of Lex is, of late, often overshadowed by a more sinister side. Being extremely intelligent, Lex uses this to his advantage in lieu of physical strength possessed by other wolves. He is often given to scheming, though exactly what runs through his head is another story all it’s own….
He isn't a bad wolf - if one earns his trust, he is capable of loyalty and good advice. He tends to gravitate towards outcasts, however, and rarely has need of actually associating with his pack. His key form of "scheming" is the pursuit of knowledge. He seeks learning in the way others seek power and grandeur - because of his physical shortcomings, he realizes that knowledge is the only way he can achieve power, and that in order to be tolerated by a pack, he needs to have some measure of this. His scholarly attitude stems from both a thirst for learning and as an insurance policy towards his own future.
Traits;; Smart, dry-humored, Strengths;; Intelligent, skilled at healing, good at overcoming adversity, self-sufficient, honest Weaknesses;; Hermit like, pessimist, sometimes brutally honest, low tolerance level Fears;; his body failing him History;; Lex was born, not into a pack, but to his two loving parents, Trillion and Nvet. They, his sisters, and he made up a small but loving family. Born the runt and missing a leg, it was considered a sign by his parents but of no real importance, and he grew up considering himself nothing out of the ordinary. Life wasn’t necessarily easy, but game in the region was plentiful and times were never beyond the grasp of his parents. In short, Lex’s childhood was idyllic, if unorthodox.
All of this changed shortly after Lex turned a year of age. A small distance from Lex’s small family territory, a pack called Redwinds existed. Redwinds had been growing, and had finally outgrown its territory. Redwinds chose to go after the family’s territory rather than challenge a larger rival pack. Redwinds’ alpha, Crow, approached Trillion with an offer. The small family could join Redwinds, and Redwinds would then control more territory. The family would enjoy the benefits of pack life and Trillion would become zeta. Trillion, however, refused, preferring the simple existence of a free wolf. Redwinds attacked and killed Trillion and Nvet, and tried to force the adolescents to join the pack. However, when they saw Lex, they reacted with a mix of fear and hatred. Redwinds was an extremely superstitious pack, and they regarded Lex as cursed. Regarded as a bringer of plague and death, Lex was banished.
He fled to the woods outside the territory and lingered on the borders. He was able to hunt rabbit and other small game well enough to survive, but, still young, missed his mother and sisters. He also hated Redwinds for what they had done to his family and his father.
Weeks passed, and Lex snuck back in to Redwinds territory to meet with his sister. A plan was made to run away in a few day’s time, with his other sister. Opportunity struck four days later in the form of a thunderstorm. Lightening set a nearby forest ablaze, and Lex made for Redwinds’ lands to find his sisters and flee. The fire, however, proved unpredictable, and soon surrounded the eastern borders of Redwinds’ territory. Lex was spotted, and blamed for the fire. The pack members refused to touch him, for they believed him cursed. However, Crow ordered his sisters to be driven into the flames instead. Lex, tormented by his failed rescue attempt and blaming himself for his sisters’ fates, fled westwards.
He wandered alone for a time, consumed with grief and anger. Over time, though, the pain has gone from stabbing wounds to a dull ache. His time since leaving his home has been unremarkable, consisting of little social contact and the most meager elements necessary for survival. Lex, now four years of age, seeks a pack.
Other things of note: Lex is somewhat gifted in the art of healing, though more out of self interest than benevolence. Though his apparent handicap is due to malformation, not injury, the nerve center is somewhat intact. Because of this, Lex is prone to phantom pains, which has led him to dabble here and there looking for herbs to kill the pain. Through trial-and-error, he has now in his knowledge several remedies, for pain as well as other ailments discovered inadvertently.
