Appearance;; Val, like most Iberian wolves, is slightly smaller than your average wolf. She's got a lean body, trained from a young age by her parents to fight and hunt. Her legs are slightly longer than average (by proportion) to her body than most of her breed, making her adept at running. Perhaps the most striking thing about Val - appearance-wise, at least - is her coloration. She's a true albino, not just white. Her fur is alabaster, and her eyes are a striking ruby shade.
Her form is mostly free of scars, although there are a few apparent ones on her legs, acquired from average activities in rough terrain.

Personality;; Val is outspoken, stubborn, and driven. She's got a knack for rallying others to her cause, which is beneficial for an alphess. Even before she became the leader of the Njal pack, she was never one for keeping her opinions to herself. Likewise, she can be a bit impulsive at times, and from time to time her temper can get the best of her.
Part of this stems from her childhood - she was, and still is, a small white female. Many underestimate her at first, or write her off. Early on she was expected to be a sweet and demure femme. Valkyri set off to show everyone who thought that of her just how wrong they were - and never quite grew out of the habit. The quickest way to anger her is to assume she's weak or soft.
That said, Val isn't all fire. She wants the best for her pack, and is good at keeping her thoughts rational even if she can't always keep a cool head. To those she calls friends, she's incredibly loyal and, sometimes, lets her guard down enough to show she possesses a sense of humor and a certain lightheartedness.
Too often, she has to put aside personal happiness, or even her own personality to be a leader, but she knows that's what she signed up for and has never had second thoughts about leading the pack. Still, at times, she craves peace and solitude, occasionally slipping away to clear her mind, or seeking the companionship of a close friend.

History;; Val was born into a litter of four - two brothers and a sister, plus herself. Her parents were the pack betas. She was second-born, and from the moment she was born was trying to compete with her brothers and sister.
The firstborn, Naddik, was a jet-black male, and very strong. The two shared a loving, if competitive relationship. They tussled often, but never held any ill will toward one another. Her other brother, Vrilo, was a sooty grey wolf and an adept hunter, although very quiet. Yivali, the youngest and smallest, was a softspoke female with light, ash-grey colouring. Yivali was what their parents thought Valkyri should be - quiet, sweet, and hungry to learn the stories and healing arts of their pack. Instead, Val was more regularly found wrestling with her brothers or getting the gang into trouble by coming up with elaborate plans and adventures.
As time went on, her parents and the pack alpha recognized her abilities and trained her, along with her brother Naddik, for leadership. The expectation was that time would reveal who was fit to lead the pack, and the other would eventually become sub-alpha to their sibling. Valkyri threw herself into training with tenacity and determination, while jealousy and resentment began to stew in Naddik's heart. [MORE SOON]
